Our Mobile Car Wash division has officially closed. We’re grateful to all of our customers who welcomed us to their driveways and supported this service. A special thanks to our incredible team for their hard work and dedication. We’re excited to have them continue serving customers in new roles at our Chapel Hill Tire locations.

Step 1: Hand Car Wash

While running through a car wash with bright lights and colors may seem fun, machine washes are often ineffective. Our professionals start by washing the exterior of your car by hand. We use professional-grade techniques to leave your car looking spotless.

Step 2: Towel Dry

Traditional air drying and automatic car dryers are ineffective—leaving behind hard water marks. To avoid hard water stains and ensure your car shines, our car wash and detailing experts towel dry the exterior of your vehicle by hand.

Step 3: Complete Interior Cleaning, Including Windows

Naturally, the inside of your car collects smudges, streaks, and other marks over time. Not only are these marks distracting, but they can also spell trouble long-term for leather or fabric interiors. So our car detailing professionals thoroughly clean the inside of your vehicle—including your windows.

Step 4: Complete Vehicle Vacuuming

Car crumbs can attract ants and other bugs. Not to mention, they affect the smell and appearance of your interior. During your Drive Happy Detail service, our professionals thoroughly vacuum your seats, floormats, and interior to eliminate the dust, dirt, sand, crumbs, pollen, and other debris your car has collected during your commutes. Our detailing equipment gets deep into the crevices that standard vacuums cannot reach.

Step 5: Protective Wax

Your car’s paint contains a clear coat to help protect your car from scratches, UV rays, pollen, sap, rust, and corrosion. Over time, this clear coat weakens, leaving your vehicle vulnerable. Regular protective wax can help maintain this protection. Our detailing specialists use a professional-grade orbital buffer to apply a protective wax to the surface of your vehicle.

Step 6: Polish By Hand

Our local specialists ensure your vehicle shines by polishing it by hand. Polishing can help reduce the appearance of minor scrapes and dents. You can keep your car shining for longer with our detailed polishing service.

Step 7: Shampoo Upholstery and Car Carpet

Some interior issues require a little more elbow grease. To ensure quality results, our experts shampoo your upholstery and car carpeting. This process eliminates set-in stains and odors—so your car can look and smell like new.

Step 8: Condition and Protect Leather Seating

Finally, we apply professional-grade leather protectants to
preserve the value of your leather seating and prevent future damage. This step is vital in maintaining the interior of your car. It will also leave your vehicle feeling brand new when you get behind the wheel.

Comprehensive Inspection Services Offered

Explore our range of state inspection services designed to meet your compliance needs:

Emissions Testing:

Our emissions testing services are a critical part of the state inspection process, designed to ensure your vehicle adheres to environmental regulations set forth by the state. We use the latest testing technology to accurately measure the amount of pollutants your vehicle is emitting. Whether your vehicle is gasoline, diesel, hybrid, or electric, we can evaluate its emissions to ensure it meets the required standards. Passing the emissions test not only helps in maintaining compliance with state laws but also contributes to environmental conservation by reducing harmful exhaust emissions. If your vehicle fails the emissions test, we offer diagnostics and repair services to address and resolve the issues promptly, helping you achieve compliance and improve your vehicle's environmental performance.

State Referee Inspections

For vehicles that require special attention or have unique modifications, our state referee inspection services are designed to assist. State referee inspections are crucial for verifying that modified vehicles, including those with aftermarket emissions equipment or rebuilt salvage titles, comply with all safety and environmental regulations. Our expert inspectors have the specialized knowledge to evaluate these modifications and ensure they meet state standards. If your vehicle has been non-compliant in past inspections or requires certification for modifications, schedule a referee inspection with us to resolve any compliance issues effectively.

Importance of State Inspections and Repercussions of Non-Compliance

State inspections are essential not only for ensuring that your vehicle meets safety and emissions standards but also for maintaining public safety on the roads. These inspections help identify potential issues that could lead to accidents or increased environmental pollution. Failing to have your vehicle inspected as required by state law can result in a variety of repercussions, including fines, penalties, and even the revocation of your vehicle registration. In some cases, driving a vehicle that has not passed inspection can also lead to increased liability in the event of an accident, as it may be considered neglect of vehicle maintenance. Regular state inspections ensure that your vehicle is safe to operate and compliant with all regulatory requirements, helping to avoid these negative outcomes.

If your car smells like cigarette smoke, it doesn’t have to stay that way. While it can take some time to remove the smell of smoke, a fresh-smelling car is well worth it, both for yourself and your passengers. How to Get Cigarette Smell Out of Car Whether you’re trying to get cigarette smoke or another odor out of your vehicle, the process for getting rid of the bad smell is largely the same. As long as you follow a few key steps, you should be able to significantly reduce, if not eliminate, the smell of smoke in your vehicle. Learn more about how to get a smoke smell out of your car below: 1. Remove Any Odor Trapping Materials Before you start cleaning your vehicle, take out any materials that could trap odor. For example, you’ll want to remove trash, clothes, and ashtrays from the vehicle, as they can all contribute to a smoke smell. You’ll also want to remove any floor mats or seat covers, cleaning them with soap and water. Wait to put floor mats or seat covers back inside your vehicle until they’ve dried and you’re done with the rest of the cleaning process. 2. Vacuum Upholstery and Carpet With your car cleared of odor-trapping materials, use a vacuum on your vehicle’s upholstery and carpet. While vacuuming, you’ll want to make sure to vacuum up any ash that could be hiding in between crevices or under your seats. 3. Scrub Soft Surfaces Next, you’ll need to scrub your seats and carpets with a cleaner designed for use in your vehicle. Follow the directions on your cleaner and scrub your seats and carpet with it to get the smell out of them. If you have a leather interior, you’ll need to use a cleaner specifically designed for leather to avoid damaging it. Don’t forget to scrub your seatbelts, as they can also trap odors. 4. Clean Hard Surfaces After you’ve scrubbed soft surfaces, you can start cleaning hard surfaces, such as your rearview mirror, center console, cup holders, dashboard, and steering wheel. Since smoke can leave a film on these surfaces, a cleaning product with degreasing qualities tends to be the most effective at removing smoke grime. 5. Sprinkle Baking Soda on Soft Surfaces Once you’re done vacuuming and cleaning surfaces, sprinkle baking soda on your vehicle’s upholstery, carpet, and other soft surfaces. The baking soda will help capture the smoke smell and neutralize the odor. Let the baking soda sit overnight to capture as much odor as possible. 6. Vacuum the Baking Soda After letting the baking soda sit for a night, you can vacuum it up the next morning. If you still notice a smoke smell, you can reapply baking soda and let it sit for another day before you vacuum it again. 7. Replace Your Cabin’s Air Filter Your cabin’s air filter traps dirt, debris, and odors. If you haven’t replaced it recently, it could have trapped some of the smoke smell inside it. Replacing it with a new filter can assist with reducing a smoke smell, and a new filter can help your car’s HVAC system run more efficiently! For everything you need to know about air filters, including how often they should be replaced, check out our helpful guide . 8. Schedule an Interior Detailing Appointment If you can’t get the smell out of your vehicle alone or simply don’t have the time to deep clean your vehicle, you’ll want to take your vehicle to an auto shop. At an auto shop, they can provide interior detailing services to eliminate even the most stubborn smoke smells.
